About our bristles:
Our soft bristles are made from charcoal-infused nylon. This makes them effective in removing plaque and tannins from teeth that cause staining and yet mild enough to protect the tooth's enamel.
While we understand that our bristles are not made from 100% organic and biodegradable material just yet, we have at least eliminated about 90% of the plastic used in making our bamboo toothbrush.
What does it replace?

A plastic toothbrush takes about 400 years to decompose, whilst bamboo will only take around 4-6 months if you are using a home composter and about 3 years if you will put it back to the soil to decompose on its own.

Bamboo is a renewable resource and in fact, the fastest-growing plant - which can be harvested in a span of about 5 years. This means that we do not have to worry about exhausting this resource, unlike other plants that takes more than a decade to mature before they can be harvested. To top it all off, bamboo is 100% biodegradable and guaranteed safe for our environment. Once you have used the bamboo toothbrush and are ready to discard it, all you have to do is to add it to your home composter and should only take around 4-6 months to decompose.
